Today was my kind of a day. I love the rain and part of my cozy day was spent in watching Pride and Prejudice with my own Mr. D'arcy. In the afternoon I went out and harvested five more of my prolific butternut squash. They just won't quit! I left 4 or 5 that aren't quite ready to pick. If the weather holds off without a hard freeze for a couple of weeks, I'll get some more. There is no better supper than pork chops or small steaks or a ground beef patty with a baked butternut squash with cinnamon sugar and butter! Last night we had Mistique and Scott and Rivers come for a visit to make up for not being able to attend his birthday. He is adorable and has this game where he goes into another room and then runs in and says "SURPRISE"! It is sooo cute. I must say it is a little hard to be surprised after the 13th time.I am determined to blog more often, so look for my news.

Sounds like a perfect evening! I love this time of year too. :) That Rivers looks so cute. I wish I could meet him in person some day. He is darling. What a great family we have!
